Current Fishing Report:

Roaring Fork River

Overview

The fishing on the Roaring Fork is good every month of the year and is one of Colorado's most productive winter fisheries.  The Fork is floatable all year and weather conditions in February and March are often very comfortable with temperatures between 40 to 55 during winter! We provide Guided Fishing Trips even throughout the winter. Let us show you some tips to catching fish by hiring a guide for the day.  If you would like we can meet you in Glenwood Springs or anywhere in the Roaring Fork valley.

We're having a pretty normal late April/ early May on the Fork with a lot of variable weather and as a result, water conditions. Even though the Fork is below average, it is seeing some random spikes which are throwing off the clarity here and there. The Glenwood Gauge does have a very useful turbidity gauge that you can use to get an idea of weather its blowing out or not. The hatches are pretty good when it's staying stable and we've got some blue wings and caddis all over the place. The fish are starting to spread out, especially when the hatches come off so you can definitely start picking some pockets on the banks. If you are unsure if you are reading the gauges correctly and want some real time reports, give our friends at Roaring Fork Anglers a ring for a report and make sure to swing by and grab some flies after you do.
